We use sophisticated encryption technology, and process payments via a third party called Stripe. This means at the checkout, their servers (and ours when you enter your address and phone number) and your PC encrypt (scramble) everything that you enter into your computer, such as credit card details, billing and delivery address. Because it is encrypted, other computers are unable to make sense of it, therefore keeping this information private.
We collect delivery and contact information from you only, when you complete any of the following: place an order, subscribe to our promotional database, fill out an enquiry form or enter information anywhere else on our site.

Your personal information is contained behind secured networks and is only accessible by a limited number of persons who have special access rights to this website, and are required to keep the information confidential. In addition, all information you supply is encrypted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology.

We do not sell or trade your Personally Identifiable Information.

This website uses a tracking code that follows the behavior of all website users. Google Analytics does not identify individual users or associate your IP address with any other data held by Google. We use reports provided by Google Analytics to help us understand website traffic and webpage useage.
How long we retain your data
We keep contact form entries, analytics records and customer purchase records permanently for as long as this website is live.
What rights you have over your data
You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes. Please note we do not hold any printed data.
You can choose to have your computer warn you each time a cookie is being sent, or you can choose to turn off all cookies. You do this through your browser settings. Since each browser is a little different, look at your browser’s help menu to learn the correct way to modify your cookies. If you turn cookies off, it won’t affect the user’s experience .
When you register your email address with us you go on a list to receive occasional email announcements such as when a new product is released. We do not disclose your email address to third parties. You can opt out anytime using the link at the bottom of the email.
Changes to This Policy
Terms and Conditions of Trade for Jo May Design:
All our items are mostly handmade to order and this takes time.
You will be emailed of any expected delay of longer than 10 working days from the time of order.
Please note outdoor garden art can take up to 3 weeks to make.
Delivery charges are calculated and added to your order after you enter your delivery location and before you enter your payment details. You get to see the full charge before completing your purchase.
Please check your delivery address carefully before submitting your order – we are not liable for mis-delivery if you supply an incorrect address. Please also check your phone and email address is correct – we can’t contact you if you make a mistake.
Returns & Damaged Goods Policy
We stand by the quality of our product and we make things right if you are not satisfied with your purchase.
If you are not happy, you must contact us within 7 days of receipt of the goods. The product must be returned to us in its original condition & packaging.
You, the customer are liable for both the cost of returning goods to us, & the cost of sending a replacement to you, unless the goods are deemed defective under the Consumer Guarantees Act.
Goods damaged in transit will be replaced where possible, and refunded if we cannot replace them.
NOTE: Delivery charges & return charges are non-refundable.
Tax and Duty
Tax, duty, customs charges and sales taxes that apply in your home country are your own responsibility & we have no control or influence over these as they are legal requirements when importing goods. We have no way of knowing in advance what these charges might be. NZ sales tax is included where appropriate.
